As in will you see a performance improvement? No, the factory platnums
are good plugs.

No. There is NO performance in the spark plug, unless they are the wrong
heat range or they are TOTALLY worn out. Lots of hype about this but no
substance.

Why?

You ever heard the mechanic's motto

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

According to NGK, Iridium allows for the electrode to be thinner and the
spark becomes stronger, burning the fuel mixture better.  Iridiums are
way cheaper than platinums, but the platinums are good enough.

I guess you would only see a difference if you were to a sophistication
level such as sparkplug indexing.

Hi Guys

The most important thing to remember when it comes to Spark Plugs.  If
you are using Copper, Platinum or Iridium plugs, the most important
thing is to make sure the plugs are NOT worn out.  Platinum and Iridium
plugs will last the longest, Copper the least.

Basically, you can have brand new Copper plugs and they will out
perform worn out Iiridum or Platinum plugs.

:-)

Thank you again.
