I have an 83 pulsar, it used to idele great, but sporadically would bog down horribly when the accelerator pedal was pressed down. I found a tear in one of the rubber things before the throttle body and taped it up, now the car wont idle but it runs ok when the rpm's are up. any ideas here? your electric idle jet( anti dieseling valve) or the alternator isn't charging. > I have an 83 pulsar, it used to idele great, but sporadically would bog down > horribly when the accelerator pedal was pressed down. The idle jet relies on the alternator for power. Basically.
