1998 Patrol 4500. Problem with a "dead spot" on the beginning of accelerator
travel at low revs when the engine is cold and accelerating from a standing
start.

If the accelerator is pushed past a certain distance it
accelarates normally. After reaching normal operating temperature it seems
OK. Would appreciate it if anyone has experienced the same problem or has
any idea what might be wrong. Can't see anything obvious.

I have been told that the sensor cost around $500.00 so I will try and
unplug and clean it. But where is it located? Is it on top of the engine
near the fuel injection system?  Many thanks for your help.
