if the codes are just cleared from your computer with a scanner. and the problem is not being repaired the check engine light will come back.  make sure the shop scans for  codes  retrieves them & checks the bad circuits afterword the technition will look up on a service manual or on a subscribed alldata system a series of tests that he will need to perform to isolate the problem.  ;
