frontier makes loud bang after shifting from 1st to 2nd

help!

have a brand new frontier 2006 and every first time I start car and it
shifts from 1st to 2nd, a BANG! is heard from underneath.
when I come to a red light or stop the car (with engine running), there are
no more sounds for the rest of the drive

dealer repair shop says "have no idea"

I hope this is not one of those problems that miraculously is resolved AFTER
my warranty expires

And you took "have no idea" as an acceptable answer? Tell them you want
it fixed or you want another truck. Then mention the words "lemon law"...

You might want to research this in Google Groups.  You aren't the first, though
I don't remember if there was a resolution.

You might want to research this in Google Groups.  You aren't the first, though
