~On my 01 Pathfinder, you have to turn the key in the unlock direction
twice
~to unlock all doors.  One turn only unlocks the driver door.

On my '94 GXE, when the door is unlocked without a key the alarm goes
off and the way to stop it is to put the key into the ignition and
turn it. You can test this by opening the drivers window and locking
the car. Wait 30 seconds or so for it to arm, then open the lock, thru
the open window and be prepared to jump in quick and key the ignition.

I don't recall being able to unlock all doors with the key, but I may
have forgotten (the car has been gone almost four years now).
