What is the deal here?  The nissan sentra went from a 1.8L PZEV engine
to a 2.0L ULEV.  Now to me that's a step in the wrong direction.  Sure,
the engine is bigger and more powerful now, but they went from having
the cleanest gas/petrol engine in the industry to an engine that is
only subpar in meeting our expectations of offering cleaner cars to
buyers/consumers.

For that very reason, I can no longer recommend the sentra to potential
buyers.  Even Ford of all companies still offers PZEV in their Focus's.
What in the world is wrong with nissan?  Sounds to me like they are
not really interested in the common good after all.  For them is all
about frofits.  They are no better than any other corporation out
there.

Sounds more like they're trying to give it more power for more sex appeal to
the younger buyers.  It's funny how the Sentra is starting to resemble the
Maxima and Altima!!

Rather, it looks like Nissan is imitating Cadillac styling (or whomever
*they* are imitating).
It's weird the way the window line dives beneath the line of the hood --
creates a fractured appearance, IMO.

The instrument panel of the new Versa is more attractive than the
Stanza's. Its dash could use a few mild curves to soften the angularity.
By comparison, the interior of the 2006 seems overcrowded & frumpy.

But, OTOH, the strangeness offers Nissan designers lots of opportunities
to tweak/refine its appearance in following years. Maybe the '08 will be
better....

If you look at all the Sentras, they always look like the Maxima of the
previous generation. Now  the product line seems to be overlapping in
that the Sentra and present Maxima look alaike now. I guess it has
something to do with the shorter life cycle of newer cars these days.
