Replacing engine mounts in Nissan Quest

I have a 94 Nissan Quest that started shifting rough and then started
making a lot of excessive noise when driven. I found that both the
left, front engine mount and the right, front transaxle mounts were
broken. I replaced both mounts and the rough shifting definitely
stopped, so that problem seems fixed.

However I am still getting some excessive noise and vibration when
driving the car. When I replaced the mounts, I made sure that the
engine weight was back on the mounts before the final tightening as the
manual indicated. Is there anything else that should have been done in
terms of installing the new mounts? Or could the bushings or something
else been damaged when the mounts broke? Is there anything else that
should be checked to find the source of the noise and vibration?
Thanks, Jim

If the other two were that bad you need to replace the orhter two. I'm
sure they were damaged as well.

Thanks for the reply. I can see the rear transaxle mount, but it didn't
appear to be damaged.

I tried to look at the rear engine mount near the exhaust brackets, but
I don't see any way of inspecting it short of removing it from the
vehicle.

Is there a way to tell if these two last mounts are damaged before
having to remove them?

Thanks,
Jim
