I ust got an 08 pathfinder and am looking for the same thing. As you
said, there are knockouts on the sides and a place to hook it into on
the left side, but there is only a hole on the right side. I've never
had an SUV without one, there has to be something somewhere that
would work.

I have one that I'm not using. It's from my 2001 Pathfinder and is tan in
color. I can send pics if needed as well as pics of my mounting knockouts
and other details.
I'll get rid of it for a fair price.

I ended up kinda making my own with one of those bungie tie-down nets
for a pickup. I just cut it so that it would fit the back and then I put
some dark cloth over it. It will work for my use.
