For any owners of 07 Altima's with the 2.5 engine.

Nissan just announced a voluntary recall to replace the air filter
element on 2.5 equipped Altima's in North America.  This is to
correct a very slight chance of fire starting via ingestion of a
"very hot object entering the air filter housing through the fresh
air intake".

This involves vehicles mfg at Smyrna and Canton from start of
production through May 11, 2007/

All owners will be notified by mail.

No cost to consumer for replacement of air filter

I believe that this kind of information is helpful. Believe it or not recall
letters go astray or do not get sent out by the manufacturer.
Only a Moron would NOT appreciate this information or drives a Yugo.
