how much for 2004 nissan sentra?

currently own a '96 sentra gxe with 55k miles (runs well but has a
few dents), and mulling if i should trade it in for a 2004 model. My
local dealership is in long Island, NY.

Whats the range of price options Ito expect from a dealer?

Skip the delaer. Search for a local seller on eBay, etc... Do whatever you
have to in order to hold on to every penny you can until you are happy with
the pre-purchase inspection from a private seller then pay.

Dealers are out to sell cars for more than private folks... Unless they are
dumping inventory that is, but that is rare...

I paid 9k ('03 Sentra GXE with 40k miles). This was from a reputable
(ie well known) used car place in New England).
