Seems the car is pulsing when pressing the brake pedal is pushed.
PepBoys says the ABS pump is bad...Nissan parts counter says $
1,282.00. Seems rare for this to happen. Any recent Maximas have this
issue / replace the ABS pump ?

First off, Pep Boys does not have a clue as to what's wrong with your
vehicle.

They could not find their a.s with both hands and a map.

The problem with your Maxima is warped rotors, you need to have the front
brake pads inspected for wear and replaced if need be and have the rotors
resurfaced.

cost of repair, under 200 bucks at most shops including the dealership.

Having Pep Boys diagnose your problem... Priceless

It's my co-workers car (I do my own auto-jobs)....correct I myself
would NEVER go to PB only for parts.
Even some of my dealer techs over the years (Honda, Audi and VW) leave
alot to be desired (= poor work).
I will be with the Maxima tomorrow at the office and give it a drive
myself :)
Will update. Just never saw anyone including myself replace an ABS
pump/modulator.
