I don't understand what tire pressure I should use for my '90 Maxima
SE with Michelin Pilot Alpins.
The manual says to look on the console, but any information there
disappeared before I bought the car (I'm at least the 4th owner).
Chiltons and Hanes are no help; they say to consult the manual.
The tire sidewalls say 51psi max.
What I'm looking for is even tread wear for moderate, daily driving.
I'm not interested in what would be appropriate for racing, etc. What
pressures should I use, front and back?
BTW, my summer tires for it are Kumho Ecsta KH11s, which also say
51psi max. Should I use the same tire pressures for them as for the
Pilot Alpins?
Thanks,
Greg

30-33 PSI measured cold the first thing in the morning before you
drive your car is the norm. Start with that. 51 PSI is absolute
maximum that the tire can handle. Is there a sticker on the door jamb
when you open the driver's side door? If so, you'll see tire pressures
specified there.
