I just replaced the water pump and belts on my 2000 altima. However,
I put it all back together and there is still a bracket that has no
home. I can't remember where it came from when I was taking it all
apart (I know...should have documented things and taken photos). My
guess is that it either attaches to the alternator or air
conditioner. I'm hoping someone can take a look at this photo and
then take a quick glance under the hood of their Altima to see if this
part is visible.

When I was younger I used to disassemble entire engines and remember
the location of every item including bolts by length, washers, etc.
Now I take digital photos before I even start :-)

It looks like it might be the bracket on the bottom of the alternator.
