06 Sentra SE-R SpecV hose from transmission to intake ?

My newphew changed the intake and there is a hose that is about 10"
running up from the transmission case. Appears to be some type of air
hose. Is it supposed to attach to the intake and if so what purpose ?

it's a vent hose.

just attach it somewhere so it's a vertical position

Ah thanks will do. Now come to think Honda may use vent hoses (U-bent).
