CEL on 99 Altima

Hi group,

My dad has a 1999 Altima with the CEL on. My scan tools don't show
any codes stored but if I do the screwdriver trick on the ECU itself I
get a code of 2 long and 13 short blinks. Can anyone tell me what
that means? I don't see any such code listed in the service manual or
the Haynes manual.. and it looks like the blink codes don't translate
directly into Pxxxx codes, ie P0213...

Any help?

The blink codes are not P codes, but do translate to P numbers. I
don't have the FSM for the 99 Altima, but on a 99 Maxima, blink code
of 0213 translates to P1440 (Evap small leak). This is the code you
would get if the gas cap was not tightened.
