A friend of mine is selling a Nissan Pathfinder that he purchased in
Oct. 99 and he told me that due to the month it was purchased, it's
really a year 2000 model. Is this true or is it still a 1999 model?

Thanks.

It is whatever the title says it is.

i have a 1994 nissan pathfinder with a door sill plate saying september
1993, the title says 1994, from what i've heard, a later model year is
concidered as "the next year"

Yep but I always consult the EPA sticker under the hood. It should say what
year the emmissions are rated for, which is always right. The title can
easily be wrong.

Look at the VIN on the vehicle. The eighth digit from the end is the year
digit.
