My 1995 Olds Cutlass just had a brand new engine put in it with only
40,000miles on it but the engine is getting hot and the radiator fans
aren't kicking on.....I'm not sure what the problem is.....Can anyone
help?

First thing I'd look at would be the connector for the temp. switch that
controls the fans.  Sorry I can't tell you where it's located, but it'll be
screwed into a coolant passage somewhere.  Hope this helps.

MY daughter had the same problem on the same car.I had to replace the temp
sensor. It is located next to the thermastat. It tells the computor to tell
the fans the engine is hot,and it will then turn the drivers side fan on
when the temp gets too high. The sensor has two wires going to it,and it is
fairly hard to replace. You will need a socket and an elbow to get to it.I
hope this will solve your problem...
