2001 Alero V-6
August 8, Check Engine Light came on. Car ran OK, but after filling up
the gas tank at on August 9, the car wouldn't start. It cranked, but
wouldn't start. I tried to start it many times, with no success. AAA
was called to tow it to the dealer. The tow truck driver tried to start
it before hooking it, and it started. Check Engine Light was now off.

I made an appointment and took it in to the dealer. The car continued
to start, and engine light remained off. No code was held in computer
either as current or history. I was told that the car is fine. OK, but
I can't get it out of my mind that there is something wrong, and one
day soon, it won't start again.

Any ideas on what happened, what the problem is/was??

Had similar problem on caravan, Computer doesn't monitor fuel pressure,
pump fails or goes intermitant car wont start. Can of WD-40 will start car
for a few seconds to let you know you have a bad fuel pump.Just spray in
throttle body. Also you might have clogged return line causing vaporlock.
