Got a 1999 Olds Alero, no tranny dip stick, 60k miles, how do you look at
the fluid? Don't believe in this lifetime fluid Bull! Hey is it your life
or mine? Or till the tranny dies. Also looking how to firm up the shift.
Looked at hypertech and superchips,no got ,lots of goodies for trucks!
Dealer says might be a soft ware upgrade. Thinking old school, trickshift
or ford type F fluid.

I don't know for sure but I heard that some of the newer GM's had the power
steering and the tranny tied in together, both using the same fluid and
pump so by checking one you also checked the other
