For the life of me, I cannot find the dome light switches for the front
doors. There are pins for the rear doors, but nothing for the front
doors. My drivers side door, when opened, leaves the dome light and the
light on the rear view mirror on.It ran my battery down.I have looked and
I cannot find any pins or switches for the dome light. Can anyone help me?
PLEASE...shineitondetail@yahoo.com

The following is per my GM manual for 1994 Ciera.

The switches are inside the front doors. They are connected to the
outside door handle. The lights can be turned on just by lifting
the handle. The door does not actually have to open.

The switches do not directly control the lamps. They are an input
into the "Multifunction Control Module" (this is what keeps the
lights on for 45-60 seconds after you close the doors). The module
actually control the lamps. (The rear doors are different) If only
one front door causes this problem, the module itself should be
OK.

The wire color for the Driver door switch is Lite Green w/Black
stripe. If it is chafed/shorted to frame/ground, could cause this
problem (besides bad/shorted switch)

Good luck,
Reed
