replacement of altanator on 97 olds-achieva

Although i can change a tire,check my fluids and put gas in my
car.(GIGGLE)I have no idea hoe to replace my altanator...yes, I'm sure I
can ask one of my guy friends(B-CAUSE I HAVE)no-one can actually find the
time to help me.... I have a new job to start(IF THE POSITION HASN'T BEEN
GIVEN TO SOMEONE ELSE)and my Peanut-Butter-&
Jelly-Project-GhettoMobile(Only 2 boyz)is telling me-NO GIRL I"M SICK OF
DRIVING YOUR BUTT AROUND,I'm Financially I'm at my lowest point in
"Michelles'History"so a SHOP is Highly Unlikely.If someone could tell me
how to replace it (much less locate the damn thing)I would greatly
appreciate it....

If you purchase an alternator at your local auto parts store the
manufacturer often includes installation instructions. At least they
where included when I replaced it in my 96 SL.

O yea, the part cost about $119-$130. Don’t remember exactly, the
parts store I went to took the old one back and credited me for the
"core charge" which gave me back about $40 I think. This was about 2
years ago.
