95 Olds Cutlass Supreme 4th gear

This is a 4T60E transmission. Sometime it will not go into 4th gear and
overdrive, after it shifts into 3rd on highway I can let off of gas and
rpm's drop to idle. Four years ago the original trans broke and it was
replaced by a new one, the 4th gear problem was still there. When problem
happens I can stop vehicle and turn off for 2 minutes and start again then
problem is gone. Any ideas?

Needs to be scanned with a trans capable scanner that can command shifts and
see gear errors and slippage.
