I have noticed a couple of the instrument panel lights come on while driving
and then when the car is turned on again, the same lights don't come back
one. One light in particular that has done this is the service vehicle soon.
It came on while I was driving, and then turned off when the car was turned
on again. The service engine light has also come on and then when I turn the
car off and fill the gas tank up and then turn the car on again, the light
is out. The security light has also briefly come on while driving.

I am wondering if there is perhaps some sort of a problem with the
instrument panel that is causing these lights to come on?

If you check your owners manual it tells you when these lights come on. The
service vehicle soon light is a reminder to change your oil (it
automatically comes on at 3000 miles since it was reset) The service engine
light can be a loose gas cap and that is why it goes out when you fill up
with gas. Your best bet is to take it to the dealer and see if any codes are
stored (most don't charge to check the codes for you....but they want to fix
it for you too). If you have a good mechanic they can usually check the
codes for you as well.

Autozone will run a scan for free.

you can reset your cars computer by disconnecting the positive battery cable
for about 2 minutes then re-attach.   this should take care of your problem.
