2000 Intrigue blower motor problem

My 2000 Intrigue blower moter started making a funny noise over the weekend
during a long trip.  It was hot and the air condotioning was on all the
time.  After the blower motor started speeding up and slowing down we
noticed that the carpet on the front passengers side of the car was soaked
with water.  On Sunday I took the cover off to expose the motor and found
that the lower part of the motor was full of water.  There is a rubber tube
coming from the blower down to the bottom of the motor, I assume to cool the
motor.  This is were the water is coming from.  The tube blows air normally
but when there is condensation from the air conditioner it lets water get
down into the blower motor.  Has anyone else run into this problem?  Does
Oldsmobile have a fix for it?  I drained 1.5 quarts of water from the tube
on Sunday morning.  Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Stan

That tube is to drip the condensed water outside.  It's probably
clogged and all you need to do is to unclog it.

And if you have a cabin air filter, it's past due for a replacement.

Where would that filter be located?  I don't know if I have one or not.  I
just purchased my 2000 Intrigue GL used.  It's pretty loaded, though...

No, this tube is inside the cabin and goes from a nipple on the bottom of
the fan shroud down and into a hole in the side of the blower motor. It
blows air through the tube when it is working normally. I assume it is to
cool the fan blower motor. I will look into the cabin filter as a
possibility. Thanks for the input.
