I can't even imagine the hate mail I'm going to get for this, but here goes.
I was down on bucks and time once to the point that I couldn't afford to fix
a coolant leak on a Chevy pickup. If it is truly a small radiator hole, get
yourself a box of black pepper and pour a couple handfuls into the radiator
while the engine is running. Don't be stingy with it. It will most likely
fix the leak within a few miles as it did my old Chevy truck. Now, what
you_should_do, is try to scrape up the bucks to either have the radiator
repaired or replaced. But the pepper trick worked for me and was still
holding when I got rid of the truck a couple years later. Never overheated
or plugged the radiator. Hope this helps.

I have heard that trick as well with the pepper (although never tried it) It
cant hurt to try it if you are looking for the cheap way out but you might
want to try your local salvage yard...They usually sell the radiators cheap
and if they pulled it out then it made it to the accident in one piece so
chances are its a good one.
