I have a 1998 olds silhouette with 100k miles. Lately, when I'm driving at
night, the interior dashboard does not light up. It seems the twilight senor
is not kicking in. When I tried to manually switch the dashboard light to
come on, it still doesn't so I'm driving around without dashboard lights,
then if I hit a road bump, it might kick in and light up. Sometimes, the
dash light would blink on and off (again at night).

Does anyone know whats wrong, or is there something that I can change?

Thanks in advance.

The light sensor on your machine is for controlling the daytime running
lamps.  Per the schematic it has nothing directly to do with the dash light
dimming function.

Based on your description there could be a loose connector in the circuitry
or else the headlamp and instrument panel lamp dimmer "switch" (separate
functions in one assembly) has a problem.  That would be my pick for a place

Silver,
I just don't know where to look. I've just went through the fuses and can't
find anything wrong. I'm at a total lost.

Are you comfortable working with automotive schematic diagrams?  Do you have
access to a service manual for your machine?  If you are going to tackle
this problem on your own a service manual is a must in my opinion.
