This is probably not the biggest problem in the Grand Scheme of Things,
but anyway . . .
I have a 1998 Intrigue GL with the Bose Sound system (no CD changer). I
have to say that it has the crankiest CD player I've ever seen (I have
the 2-DIN stereo with both a CD player and a cassette player). The disc
has to be darn near perfect for the thing to track. Temperature
extremes drive it nuts, as does the slightest bump in the road.
Not surprisingly, the thing balks most at the music CDs I burn at home.
Even when I'm standing still (no vibration) on level ground, I
sometimes have trouble making it track. Sometimes it will play the
first 2 - 3 songs, then try to change tracks, get "confused" and eject
the disc; when I pop the disc back in, it can't find track one again and
refuses to play it.
Anyone have this problem? Is it the CDs? Dirty Laser? Were you able to
effect a fix, or did you just replace the unit?

Forgot to mention that it could be a heat problem. If I play a CD for
awhile, then eject it, the disc is VERY warm to the touch.
