Just wondering if replacing the front and/or rear brakes on this car are
something I can tackle myself.  It's my son's car and I've done brakes
before but not in a good 20 years or so when I worked on my own cars (pre
new-age electronic systems, etc)

Thanks,
Walter

The front brakes are really easy.  You'll just need a T-45 torx socket
and a C clamp to compress the caliper.  I haven't tackled the rear
brakes, but if you've done drum brakes before I don't expect you'll
have any problems.

Good luck!

Is it a T-45 socket or T-45 bit?

Answered my own question....
It's gotta be an internal torx bit, the external sockets are all E## (not
T##).
I imagine a 7MM allen wrench would work too as they are technically the same
size.

Yeah it's a bit... I said socket because the one I ought is a 3/8
socket with the T45 in it.  You may get it loose with an allen, but a
lot of times they are torqued on pretty good.

Something weird I just noticed today....

On my 90 Ciera... It's a T-50 on the driver's side and T-45 on the
passenger side.  WTF?

Not sure which is the stock one, and which is the replacement.
