I am looking at a '69 Toronado on E-bay.

I have always been facinated with these early Toros but I have never owned one.  My question is a 2 parter.  One, what is the torque
steer like on these cars?  Seems like it would be pretty severe with the 455.

Second, What should I expect to pay for one?

NADA lists average retail at 10,000.00 and low at 4500.  Is that right?

Thanks
Eric

Eric:

Here's a  place you could ask your questions:

FWIW, all the years I spent in the automotive service business, I don't
think I ever had the opportunity to drive one of the 1st generation
Toro's... but if the torque was anything like my parents '68 455 88 it
should be controlable - but the '69 was probably one of the best cars GM
ever produced... and still demands a premium price 30+ years later.

Regards,
Ralph
