3600 starts good cold, starts good hot, but leave it sit an hour, no start.
Just cranks. Let it sit 2 hours and get cool and then it does start. Power's
good, fuel economy good otherwise. 126,000 miles

Was convinced it was the O2 sensor (heard that one on Car Talk) , but that
didn't help. Then I tried ignition coils, coolant temp sensor, new plugs,
ignition wires, fuel filter. No change. Then found that there is no spark to
any plugs when it's in it's mood..

Is there another sensor I'm missing ? Ignition control module? Maybe it's
got a French part that's on strike.

At some point you really need to just randomly stop putting parts in this
and have it properly diagnosed, do you have cranking rpms on a scanner when
this happens, do you have injector pulse?

Shep thanks -- all I have is an OBD-II scanner. This old car is an OBD-I and
I couldn't bring myself to the additional investment for OBD-I capability
since this is the last car I will be able to use it on. Can I check for an
injector pulse with a DVM (which I have)?

A cheap noid lite set will come in handy on all injected cars.
