I have a 1987 Olds 442 that I am re-working. I have taken the 307 out and
replaced it with a modified 350. Because I am running a cam with a little
over 500 on the lift and 3.73 rear gears so I will be using a stall
convertor at about 2600-2800. I am trying to use a 2004r tranny with OD and
lockup. I have a lockup switch/kit I bought but I am wondering will I have
any problems with the stall convertor and trying to use the lockup on a
stall convertor?

Not sure if I completely understand the picture.  It sounds like you want to
retain the lock-up feature and use a high stall aftermarket converter.  The
lock-up is a clutch in the converter itself, so as long as the converter
you're using has a lock-up clutch in it it and the trans is a lock-up
enabled trans (appropriate electrical/hydraulic circuitry) it should all be
fine.  I'm pretty sure that the converter manufacturer wouldn't sell a high
stall converter with a lock-up clutch in it if it wasn't going to work.  In
the stock configuration lock-up converters won't lock up until in high gear
above a preset road speed, so winding it up off the line shouldn't change
things. Not sure what your lock-up switch/kit does, but it may simply change
the speed/conditions under which the converter locks or unlocks.
