Well, according to diagram I have access to, to drive the pump, first
there is Fuse 6, 20Amp. Then pink wire to Fuel Pump Relay. Then gray
wire to Pump. Also the Powertrain Control Module controls the relay via
a Dark Green/White wire.
BTW, feeding gas into the air intake only proves the intake valves and
spark plugs are working. Only fuel from the tank goes thru the
injectors, not any air from the intake.

Do your power windows work?

jimberg98 as a matter of fact the power windows do not work either

I'm dealing with a similar issue right now. This seems to be common
enough that there should be a technical service bulletin or something
but there isn't. I don't have the solution yet, either.
I purchased Alldatadiy for the year and was able to find a ground
distribution map to see if I can find a commonality between the fuel
pump, power windows, and power seats. They all go at the same time.
My first suspect was a ground in the driver side kick panel. That
turned out to be a dead end. I was able to disconnect it while the
engine was running and the engine didn't die. The next suspect ground
is a wire that attaches to the block near the oil pressure sending
unit. I plan to take a look at this one tomorrow.
Some other symptoms that my vehicle has that may or may not have
something to do with the problem:
Oil level light goes on when oil level is fine.
Periodicaly get transmission code P1870 which indicates that the
transmission is slipping. A bad ground could lead to a false sensor
reading being misinterpeted by the computer.
Fuel gauge is not accurate. The tank is nearly empty when the gauge is
reading 1/4 tank.

Iam having the same problem with a 1994 Olds 88 Royale and
everything you are saying is true, the power windows die the same time
that the car won't start. I thought it might be a ground but have no
clue were to look. let me know if you find it. Also interior lights
are very dim.......

I bought a 96 olds 88 and it is doing all of that, runs when it wants to
basicly. I took my out to a big car dealer to have it dyno and they said
it needed a fuel pump well I took the damn thing home and put one in and
it is still doing it. I was just wondering if you guys have found the
problem yet caues this is costing more an more money every day.
