So my oil pressure light keeps flashing on and off the first 15 minutes
I'm driving my car. Because that's the only time it does that, I really
haven't done anything about it, but I'm ready to pay it some attention.
Does it mean that I have to replace my oil pump? What else could it
mean?

Have the oil pressure tested with a mechanical gage, it may just be a bad
sending unit.

Agree that the sending unit is probably bad, as GM's are notorious for that.
Some of them just leak (oil) real bad, and some of them do what yours is
doing.

But make no mistake, this is nothing to mess around with, at least until you
know what it is.  Get is tested immediately.
