I just bought this car for $200. It runs decent but when idling in park it will idle normal then drop down to a really low idle for about 3 seconds then will pick back up then will go down and back up and so on and so on. It seems like some kind of sensor going bad but i was told it could also be the smog pump. The car also has a fairly loud ticking noise but the oil situation is fine. Im not used to these little frontwheel drive pieces of junk, im used to driving my rear wheel caprice with a 350. repairs were so simple with that car. These 4 cyl. engines just confuse me Try checking your TPS sensor and also the Oxygen sensor is known to cause Idle fluctuations... |
