Hey guys, I just bought a 99 Intrigue GX. Nice car, silver/silver.

Did alot of research, it has been sitting for a few months.........

The oil is clean and topped up. I have had this car for only 1 day.
Doesnt seem to have a 215/hp pickup, ( mind you I usually drive a 5.0
Mustang )

Im just wondering if anyone has some ( very low cost suggestions )

Im thinking of adding some lucas-oil in the mix, but as for gas all the
reviews say one of the high points of the 3.5 is u can use regular gas
and get the same performance.

I bought it as a family car, but me being the freak I am I still want
some good pickup ( just incase I have to emerency pass 15 cars )  :)

Also even when the car is warmed up the ticking is still there Im
thinking old gas or a higher octane.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx alot.

Ticking at idle is not a gas quality problem, could be valve train or an
exhasut leak, someone needs to listen to this and pinpoint the problem. As
far as performance ,injector clean, tune up, throttle body clean are all
issues to maximize performance.
