Steering/driving clunks/vibrations felt in 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora

I recently started having a problem when driving my Aurora that the
steering clunks when turning or moving over bumps at low speeds. I
found a few TSBs on it, but I don't have access to view them, Here are
the numbers/descriptions I found I am wondering if others could help
me:

Usually caused by the lower flex joint on the steering shaft ,must be
removed and lubed, common trouble spot in many GM cars.

How difficult is something like this to do, my dad is visiting soon
would it be too difficult for one person or do you have to take it in
to a shop?
