Hello... I purchased the above vehicle and everything I'd read about it
prior to purchase says it comes standard with keyless entry. However, there
are no remotes....the salesman said if it's keyless the previous owners
didn't turn in the remotes and that he'd try to find out. He is being very
helpful.....has even offered to have an aftermarket keyless entry installed
if the car indeed doesn't have the factory keyless module. I looked at the
RPO codes on the service parts identification sticker and there should be a
code like this *AU0* to show a keyless entry system is installed, but there
is no such code. Would anyone know why, since it is a standard feature
(nowhere have I found that says it's optional), why it would not be
installed? Is there any other way to verify whether or not a module is
installed? Anybody know the location of where it would be on the car? Any
help would be appreciated....

Is your 88 the base trim line, or the LS ?? Info at edmunds.com says
keyless entry is standard only on LS model.

btw....I've looked at many sources, but here's one that shows the standard
features and equipment. The 50th anniversary edition I have, has all of the
standard features shown (with the exception of the keyless entry for
whatever reason) plus some of the optional features not checked on the list
also.

The salesman that sold me the car took the time to find a keyless
remote...sent it to me with programming instructions and it works
perfect....
