I just bought a used 1998 Intrigue and as I drive down the road it
will randomly stall.  Does anyone know what could cause this?  I will
pull over to the side of the road, if possible and sometimes it takes
a while to start back up.  I hope someone can help me figure this out.
Thanks.

How many miles since the gas filter has been changed?

First, I would go to an auto parts store and get your OBD codes read.  That
will usually tell you the problem.  If you have the 3.5, a common part to
cause that symptom is a bad crankshaft position sensor.  Mine would quit
going down the highway and then have no trouble starting back up again.  A
common pre-symptom of this is it feels like the tranny might be slipping or
popping out of gear.
