My Mom has a 91 Olds with a V6 and automatic.  The Lock-up torquie
converter won't unlock.   She doesn't want to put a lot of money in the
car so I want to unhook this thing.
Does anyone one there know how to do this on this car?

Thanks..

The model would help, but no matter what kind it is, it is very easy
to just unhook the electrical connector to the lock up torque
converter.
Open the hood.  On the driver's side of the engine, down low, is the
front of the transmission where the torque converter is.  There will
be an electrical connector there with 4 wires on it shaped in a square
pattern.  I think the conenctor is blue.  Just lift up the tab and
pull it out.  Cover both exposed ends with electrical tape to keep the
water out.

You're done.  The car will operate normally now.  The engine will rev
a little higher at high speeds and won't do as well on gas, but it wil
get you around just fine.
