Happy Father's Day! I am new to the group and was wondering if anyone
out there by chance had a Service Manual that I can download for a
1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 (Royale) that includes all the electrical
schematics for the entire car. I have many electrical issues, and have
to figure out where the problem is. Tried the Chilton's, Haynes-no
dice..Has to be the actual Factory Service Manual for that car. Need
this now so I can look at it and see what I can do to at least for
now. Can drive, but barely and only for about 30 minutes at a time.
X-husband says usually alternators work or they don't. I disagree, but
all lights do flicker and it is completely unsafe in my opinion. The
engine is hotter than a firecracker too. Common-sense tells me that
something is over voltage, but that is my opinion. I first thought
alternator or wires leading up to it from the ignition or battery,
maybe the starter/solenoid. This is my daughter/G-daughter's car and
my ex-husband thinks he may be able to fix it with the SM. Any help
would make me a grateful Grandmom!
Much appreciated!

I have had some electrical problems with my car as well. the reverse lights
would not work. i got the chiltons mechanics manual from the library. my
car is the exact same as yours only a year newer. the one i got had the
schematics in it and i figured out where the problem with the reverse
lights was. the schematics will either be in the middle or the back.
