94(4.0) aurora has a idle problem,or so it seems, start car and it keeps
dying out unless you keep some gas on the pedel, after about 5 minutes of
driving most times it then will keep from stalling but will still sometimes
even then die out at an extended stop at the light, before stalling out the
rpms will fluctuate up and down a few times before stalling out, another
thing that might help telling about-if upon starting car and the usuale
routine of stalling first 5 minutes then after that it keeps idle after
warmed up,as long as car is running it will keep idle, but even turn it of
for a few minutes even if engine is hot and running for quite a while,it
will again start cycle of stalling out for first few minutes,it doesn't seem
to matter if car is hot?    could it simply be and these are the syptoms of
just an IAC gone bad or do the symptoms involve something else too??  thanks

It could be the idle speed motor, but I'd suspect something more
mundane such as a loose or broken vacuum hose.  That will cause a
motor to idle at the incorrect speed and stall, thuogh the computer
will try to compensate for it (thus the fluctuation in idle you're
noticing).
