92 oldsmobile achevia stalling out.

When I come to stop  and the engine starts to get to idle speed it
stalls out and usually wont start back up for anywhere for 30-45mins
then it will start and I can get a few more miles before it happens
again. I think it might be a fuel pump but not sure. when it stalls it
sounds like it gasp for air or something like that. just trying to
figure it out before i do drop the tank and try to replace the pump
myself, hoping it is something differnt.

I have a 3.3l v6 not the 2.3quad or the 2.4 twin is there a another
forum i can check
