We have a 1994 Olds 88 (160,000 miles) that periodically in the last 2
-3 months will stop running and not restart. At the same time, the
electrical locks, windows and mirror controls also stop working.
Sometimes after 1 or 2 hours it will then start up fine and run
perfectly for several weeks. The shop has been unable to figure out
what the problem is, partly due to difficulty in replicating the
problem. Does this model and year have a history of electrical
problems? In the last year we have replaced the entire computer,
starter motor, water pump and fuel pump. We have put a fair amount of
money into this car and are reluctant to give up on it. Ideas,
anyone? Thanks.

Look at the common buss ground junction under the l/s front carpet at the
sill, common area for this issue.
