Serpentine Belt Riding Off Pulley

The son of a friend has a 92 Olds with the 3300 engine.  Recently the
serpentine belt jumped off.  He replaced the belt and the tensioner and the
belt now rides over the back (nearest the engine) flange of the harmonic
balancer pulley.  We can't see an obvious problem and would appreciate any
help with this.

Thanks.

What made the belt jump off in the first place?  It seems to me that what
ever caused the original problem is still there.  One of the other belt
driven components has a bad bearing or pulley or is out of alignment?

I don't know.  If I knew the answer to your question I wouldn't have posted
here asking for help.  The dad said all of the other pulleys 'seem to be
o.k.'.  He mentioned, after I posted the question, the son had recently
replaced the water pump.  Could be the water pump pulley doesn't line up
correctly and is causing the belt to ride off the balancer pulley.  Gonna go
back this evening and have another look.

Thanks for making me thank about it a bit more.
