Strange problem with instrument panel and radio (Cutlass 98)

I would appreciate any input as to a solution for this. When I turn
the car to the "on" position, everything lights up just fine. My
speedometer and radio lights up just fine. However, when I turn the
car over, They go blank. My odometer still maintains it’s numbers of
course, it just won’t light up. I can’t drive at night safely. Any
suggestions? Thank you in advance for reading this.

My first thought is that one of the contacts in your ignition switch is bad.
