My '98 Intrigue GL needs a new VSS vehicle speed sensor. Tranny's no
shifting beyond ''Drive'' (1st gear?), and the speedometer isn't working
The repair shop got a code PO502 when diagnosing, indicating speed senso
low voltage, shorting out.

I'm no mechanic, but could I replace the speed sensor myself?  And if so
is there anyone who can spell out the steps for doing so
