I need to replace the locks and door handles on a 1993 Ciera S. In
order to do this I have to remove the glass. How do I do this when the
glass has a pin or roller locking it into the window track?

Are you sure the glass needs removed ?? Nothing in my factory manual
re locks and handles calls for glass removal. If replacing the power
window motor, then you undo the glass from the regulator (as I have
done twice)
If you really need to undo the glass, then there is a small metal
plate riveted to the lower edge of the glass. Leave it riveted in
place, and unbolt the plate(sash) from the sash regulator.
Generally the glass is not actually removed from the door to work on
motors, regulators etc. You run the glass full up, taping it to the
body (lots of duct tape), then undo the sash bolts, and remove
whatever else is necessary. (IIRC, you may only be able to access the
bolts with glass full up)

Thanks for the response. With the window closed the lock is behind the
glass. I can get my hand around it but cannot get the retainer nor the
rods off. I have unbolted the glass from the regulator and cleared
that from the sash but I still have to get the pin or roller that is
attached to the glass out of the track that is on the door latch side
of the door.

Oh, that thing !
Officially called a "window guide". Basically it is one piece, folded
around the edge of the glass, and "snaps" together thru a small hole
in the glass. To remove you pry it apart with something like a putty
knife (or a "Door Trim and Garnish Remover Tool")
To re-install, the manual states to use a new guide, warm it with a
heat gun, or warm water, and snap it into place.
