Auto info: AC clutch tool for front, at engine,
compressor for 1993 silhouette van.
Todo: Need to replace the clutch bearings.
Have looked and tried all tools listed on
venders listings. This clutch has finer threads
and slighly smaller dia for the puller on the
front plate. Inner shaft off is thread for I would
expect a installer. None of the installer(s)
tried has such tooling for the tool shaft. I went
through several tool sets. This is original equipment.
Also looked at auto manuals which has
no such recommendations for AC clutch
Scratching my head, Huh!
- Anyone has this problem and please
share how you found your solutions.
- If you have used one and if you could,
share the thread size, dia, and pitch of
the collar on remover.
- Share same threads on inside dia of
shaft on installer.
Maybe I can match on mine clutch and make a
shade-tree mechanic tool(s). (-;

The puller does not usually thread onto the shaft. There are internal
threads on the front plate that the puller threads into. The bolt on the
puller pushes against the end of the shaft or the nose on the housing that
the clutch bearing rides on.
