I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue GL 3.5 liter with 110,000. miles on it. The transmission just died and the mechanic quoted 16 - 18 hundred for rebuilding it. Is this a reasonable price?

I had a '92 Olds Ninety Eight and paid $2200 for a rebuild!

Not bad at all if it includes a proper rebuild, new converter and R/R.
